DUBAI SPORTS CITY

Dubai Sports City ’DSC’- the world’s only integrated purpose designed venue is expected to be completed by 2007. The $2 billion city will host the first Manchester United soccer school outside Europe, a golf course designed by South African Ernie Els, a David Lloyd tennis school and a Butch Harmon golf academy, the first outside North America. The city would encourage women’s participation in sports in the Gulf region, where women are traditionally excluded.The Dubai Sports City announcement comes in line with the intentions of the authority and the tourism governing body in order to transform Dubai into a centre for excellence. DSC development is being created as one of the star attractions of the mega Dhs 18 billion Dubailand project.

BURJ DUBAI

TALLEST BUILDING IN THE WORLD

Situated on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai (UAE), the Burj Dubai, currently under construction, will be completed by 2008.
The Height of Burj Dubai is being kept secret and will not be told until it is completed. According to the developers, it will be the tallest building on earth. As of November 2004, the Burj Dubai's height and floor count (originally believed to be 705 meters and 160 floors, respectively) are not final. There are rumors suggesting that the building may be as high as 900 meters.- An observation deck will be located on the 124th floor.
The building will also contain residential, commercial, hotel and entertainment facilities, including the largest shopping mall in the world.
